JWST spectroscopy in September 2024 indicates that Jupiter's moon Europa was recently likely resurfaced with water. We propose a single SpeX/LXD-short L-band observation of the trailing hemisphere of Europa to (1) determine if the changes from September are still present and (2) provide a baseline set of L band observations that will serve as comparisons to monitor the change in Europa over the next months to years. One hour of on-source integration time is needed for an L-band signal-to-noise of 100.
