File Name: UDRDEMO.TXT Last Rev: 11/10/95 An executable demo program is included with the Universal Protocol Driver Development Kit. The demo program may be useful in the development or operation of Universal master drivers. COM#DEMO.EXE - Examples of the SIXNET Universal Protocol running over an RS232 com port (com port #1 or #2). COM#DEMO.EXE is set to run over a com port betweeen two computers connected by a NULL Modem cable. One computer will run the COM#DEMO.EXE. If you wish to use another comport, the file COMDEMO.C will need to be changed and recompiled. COM#DEMO.EXE uses the Universal Protocol to continuously poll for I/O values. It will also send a command to write an output value only when the user changes the value. The second computer, which must be running Windows, will act as a SIXNET station simulator and will respond to messages sent by the first computer. To run this simulator, you must first install the SIXNET Control Room (ST-SCR two disk set) and select the `IO Simulator' icon in the Sixtrak program group.
