Installing

- If the CD does not auto-start run setupBASIC and follow the installer instructions and accept the defaults.
- Connection to a PC is done with a serial port either a legacy version or
using a USB port (and the ARMexpress eval card).
- BEFORE you run the Coridium installer, you must
install the proper Windows 98 VCP drivers for the FT232R. These drivers
can be obtained from the www.ftdichip.com website. Follow
their directions for installation.
- Then you can run the setup.exe either on the CD or from the www.coridiumcorp.com/support
page.
- If you installed the WinXP drivers on Win98 they
must be removed, and they may not appear in the Control Panels Add/remove
programs list. It may be necessary to search the Windows directory for
all FTDI* files and to remove them individually.
- Currently an installer is not supported, but only the
documentation and a terminal emulator are required.
- Coridium's BASICtools are used in Windows and is written
in Tcl which should be portable to Linux.
- A port for the ARMexpress has been done by www.devscott.org
- To communicate with the ARMexpress, a connection to a
serial port is required
- The documentation is available in HTML format so anything with a browser
should be capable of using it.
